Riyad Bank earns 21.6% more in Q1, shares dip slightly
2012-04-15 - AMEinfo.com | Saudi Arabia | Latest News - Saudi Arabia: The Saudi Arabian Tadawul All Share Index (Tasi) fell 0.65% to 7,524.36 points, despite market bellwether Sabic adding half a percent to reach 103.25. The Tasi has lost four percent last week amid lower oil prices, ongoing debt woes in the Euro zone and worries, expressed by the World Bank, of a hard landing of the Chinese economy. Shares of Riyad Bank slipped 0.40% to hit SR24.90. Earlier in the day, Riyad Bank Net reported it has achieved in the first quarter a net profit SR901m against SR741m for the same quarter of the previous year, an increase of 21.6%. Compared to Q4 2011, the result represents an increase of 15.8%. Fifty-two shares advanced, while 86 declined. Some 508.6m securities were traded, valued at SR10.6bn.
