The Tasi has lost four percent last week amid lower oil prices, ongoing debt woes in the Euro zone and worries, expressed by the World Bank, of a hard landing of the Chinese economy. Shares of Riyad Bank slipped 0.40% to hit SR24.90. Earlier in the day, Riyad Bank Net reported it has achieved in the first quarter a net profit SR901m against SR741m for the same quarter of the previous year, an increase of 21.6%. Compared to Q4 2011, the result represents an increase of 15.8%. Fifty-two shares advanced, while 86 declined. Some 508.6m securities were traded, valued at SR10.6bn.
