2008-07-14 - IslamToday - In an interview with al-Ukaz newspaper, Saudi Shaykh Salman bin Fahd al-Awdah defended the upcoming interfaith dialog that is being supported by King Abdallah. In the article, also carried on his Islam today website, al-Awdah said that some people consider the dialog to be sinful or a sign of religious deviation, but he contends that, in fact the conference is just the opposite, it is a sign of strength and confidence, and an opportunity to propagate Islamic tenets.
