2007-11-23 - Russia IC - Saudi Arabia is going to purchase Russian weapons for the first time ever, reports the Kommersant newspaper. Following the results of the talks held yesterday between Crown Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and the Rosoboronexport Unitary enterprise, the countries plan to sign an agreement regarding development of military-technical cooperation. It is reported that 150 tanks T 90S priced at $500 million, 100 helicopters Mi 35 and Mi 17 estimated at $2 billion and about 20 Buk M1-2 air defense medium-range systems will be supplied to Saudi Arabia.
