Arab National Bank posts $175m profit in Q1
2012-04-15 - AMEinfo.com | Saudi Arabia | Latest News - Saudi Arabia: Saudi-based lender Arab National Bank (ANB) has posted a net profit of $175m for the first quarter of 2012, compared with $157m for the same period last year and $98.1m in the previous quarter, Arab News has reported. Total operating income for the quarter stood rose 7.3% to $319m from $297m for the same period last year. ANB assets as in March 31, 2012 climbed 4.1% to $33.4bn from $32.1bn for the same period last year. Investments also jumped 5.2% to $8.6bn from $8.2bn recorded in the same period last year, while the loans portfolio reached $20.2bn against $18bn for the same period last year representing an increase of 12.3%, ANB said.
