S. and rising oil prices, the Tadawul All Share Index consolidated above 6,000 points, closing 1.07% higher at 6,169.61 points Saturday. Unemployment in the U. S. declined in November to 8.6% from 9% the month before, the lowest rate since March 2009. Petrochemical giant Sabic advanced 1.35% to reach SR93.75. A whopping 116 shares gained, 21 declined and eight ended even. Today marked the first trading session in December. In November, the total amount of traded shares at the Saudi Stock Exchange was SR85.29bn ($23bn), down 28.20% from the previous month, according to data compiled by the exchange. Year-to-date, the benchmark Tasi lost 6.81%, the second best performance behind the Qatar Exchange (off 0.22%).
