2008-01-15 - AME Info | Saudi Arabia | Latest News - Saudi Arabian Mining Co., also known as Maaden, has awarded a $100 million contracts to ABB Ltd. to build two power plants for its phosphate and aluminium projects, reported Bloomberg. ABB will build plants with capacities of 380 kilovolts and 115 kilovolts respectively to support the state-owned company's $5.6bn phosphate plant and $7bn aluminium plant at Ras Az Zawr.
