King decress free Iftar at mosques
2007-09-20 - Saudi Gazette - King Abdallah bin Abd al-Aziz has ordered the distribution of more than five million Iftar meal packets for free to pilgrims and worshipers at the Grand Mosque in Makkah and at the Prophet's Mosque in Madinah. Each meal packet is worth SR5 and consists of dates, biscuits, bottled water and various bakery items. Millions of bottles of laban are also given for free by Saudi Arabian dairy company Nadec to the fasting devotees.
