The two leaders discussed a range of international developments, particularly ones affecting the region. They also discussed bilateral relations, according to the article. Abdallah is almost certainly uneasy about signs of expanding Iranian influence in the region--particularly in Iraq and Lebanon--but he has been more willing to directly engage the Iranian leaders than former King Fahd.
