Saudi receives $54 million in compensation from UN
2007-04-15 - Gulf News - Prince Turki bin Nasir bin Abd al-Aziz, Chairman of the Presidency of Meteorology and Environmental Protection, spoke at a press conference on Saturday, saying the $54 million received as compensation for environmental damages sustained during the Gulf War was used to save seacoasts and in other environmental projects. Earlier, he patronized a symposium in Makkah on environmental development.
