Ma'aden, Sabic JV costs blow
2007-09-17 - AME Info | Saudi Arabia | Latest News - Saudi Arabian Mining (Ma'aden) has revealed a phosphate minerals joint venture (JV) it is developing with the Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (Sabic) will now cost $5.6bn, a spike of 62% on the estimates of six months ago, reported Reuters. In March, Ma'aden, which will own 70% of the JV, and Sabic, which will own the remainder, said the project would cost $3.5bn. Escalating construction costs have been blamed for the rise.
